This is for a relaxed group of people that either need a little help or guidance or for those that just love to sew in company, swop ideas and get some inspiration.
The sessions will run every 1st and 3rd Monday (except during school holidays / bank holidays and half-term holidays).
We have sewing machines available, but you are also welcome to bring your machine along if you would like to get to know your machine a little better.
So, all you need to do is bring along your fabric and patterns or project, you will be able to make use of our equipment and sewing machines, and of course we will have tea and refreshments available. We will also have a selection of fabrics to purchase and a selection of donated fabrics and haberdashery that you will be welcome to make use of.

You can choose from a large variety of quality fabric paints, fabric pens and beautiful mandala stencils in various sizes.
You’ll learn how to paint on fabric and how to use a stencil. These paints really do colour so please do not wear jewellery on your hands and wear appropriate clothing. (Basically not your Sunday best ) After all it’s fabric paint
There’ll be tea, coffee, juice and cakes available throughout the workshop.

Advanced Sewing with Cabbage Rose (suitable if you have basic knowledge or have done the beginners workshop)
In this workshop you will learn more advanced sewing skills and techniques, to enable you to work on projects at home.
We will cover a variety of sewing exercises on sample pieces building up a sample file for you to keep and use as a reference.
In this workshop we will cover working with facings, various zip finishes, linings, waist band finishes (including stretch) bias binding finishes, buttonholes, adding embellishments, we will cover up cycling and simple alterations to garments.
You will then design a tote bag or general bag, using the skills you have learnt to incorporate into your design.
All materials, equipment, and sewing machines are provided. Refreshments will be available throughout the day, you can either bring a packed lunch or order from the Foxlowe Café.
